Auraria Campus Publication Design

Working with the Auraria Higher Education Center (AHEC)—a complex tri-institutional campus in downtown Denver—I designed a series of high-profile printed materials, including annual reports for AHEC and the Auraria Campus Police Department (ACPD), as well as a comprehensive Strategic Plan publication. These projects needed to convey complex data and planning decisions clearly, while also feeling fresh, engaging, and aligned with evolving institutional values.
For the Annual Reports, I created a visual system that unified reports across multiple years and departments. This included consistent infographic styling, typography, photography, and production specs. I also developed a custom icon suite to modernize and differentiate the brand across all volumes.
The Strategic Plan offered an opportunity to refresh the AHEC visual identity through a warmer, more contemporary color palette, supporting typefaces, and a brand-forward layout system. While the writing came from institutional planning teams, I led the full design process—creating structure, hierarchy, and a strong visual rhythm across pages.
Together, these documents represent a thoughtful evolution of the Auraria brand and its public-facing materials.

AHEC Annual Reports (2020–2021)
Annual reports created for the Auraria Higher Education Center, focused on delivering data, departmental updates, and campus-wide initiatives in a clear and visually engaging format. I developed a flexible layout system with custom infographics, modern icons, and a refined grid to support narrative flow and brand consistency across multiple volumes.
ACPD Annual Reports (2020–2021)
Designed for the Auraria Campus Police Department, these reports presented detailed statistics, community programs, and departmental transparency in a trustworthy and accessible visual format. Using the same design system I developed for AHEC, I tailored the tone and hierarchy to reflect the unique mission and audience of campus public safety.
Auraria Campus Strategic Plan (2021–2022)
A comprehensive report summarizing the Auraria campus’s strategic planning process and outcomes. I used the opportunity to refresh the AHEC brand—introducing a more inviting color palette, cleaner typography, and modern iconography. The final piece balanced institutional structure with a human-centered, future-forward visual tone.
